Pathway to Citizenship explores the narrative of a Chinese-American transracial adoptee, Baixue Yang, born under China’s one-child policy and the internal struggles she faced while exploring her ethnic identity. The work contains risograph prints, screenprinted ephemera, mixed media sculpture, assorted types of white paper, bureaucratic government documents, and traditional cultural artifacts.
